PURPOSE AND APPLICATION
RPK Medium Handguard (AA-10.10.200) is designed to replace the standard handguard on RPK-based machine guns (RPK-74). It provides increased rigidity of the front end of the weapon, improved ergonomics, and the ability to mount additional equipment (foregrips, hand stops, flashlights, etc.) without the need for extra adapters, thanks to the M-LOK interface.
Suitable for:
- combat use;
- training use;
- weapon modernization and tuning;
- operation in harsh field conditions.
Design and features
- The handguard consists of a main body and an upper cover (various configurations), which are connected to each other by spacer posts.
- The body features a one-piece CNC-machined base, a rear mounting interface, and a crescent-shaped front locking element.
- The adjustable crescent-shaped locking element allows precise fitting of the handguard to a specific weapon without any modifications.
- The upper cover is CNC-machined from aluminum and provides additional rigidity and protection.
- The design is intended for intensive use without loss of geometry or the development of play.
- M-LOK interface for mounting additional accessories.
- Supplied with Picatinny rail sections: L63 mm — 1 pc, L80 mm — 2 pcs.
- Handguard weight with one upper cover (solid or with spacer posts): 342 g
- Handguard weight with two upper covers (solid or with spacer posts): 442 g
- Handguard weight with one long upper cover: 400 g
- Weight of the Picatinny rail sections (L63 mm — 1 pc, L80 mm — 2 pcs): 88 g
Upper cover configurations
The RPK Medium Handguard can be supplied with different upper cover configurations depending on the user’s operational requirements:
- One short upper cover — minimal weight, basic protection, and compact size.
- Two short upper covers — increased structural rigidity and an extended gripping area.
- One solid long upper cover — maximum rigidity, a continuous top surface, and improved ergonomics during intensive use.
All upper covers are CNC-machined from aluminum and secured to the body via stainless steel threaded inserts.
